| Community input and public involvement is an important part of the Corps' efforts. The Corps has established and maintains a two-way dialog with community members and other interested parties. The Corps encourages members of the public to make suggestions and recommendations about the investigation and any required clean up at the former Voorheesville Depot. The Corps has created a variety of programs that will help community members learn about the project and become active participants in discussions with the Corps. The programs include: | |||||||||

| A
Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) was established in response to a high level
of public interest in the site. The RAB is a forum for discussing and exchanging
information regarding the investigation and clean up of any environmental
and public health hazards encountered at the former Depot. The RAB includes
members of the local community, representatives from state and local government,
and the Corps. The RAB reviews reports, makes recommendations on any further
necessary actions, and helps to set restoration priorities at the former
Depot. RAB meetings are held every two to three months. The next RAB meeting
is scheduled for Wednesday, April 26th at 6:30 pm at the Guilderland Public
Library. RAB meetings are open to the public, and the RAB encourages anyone
interested in the project to participate in the meetings. Click here to see RAB Meeting Minutes: Click here to see Public Meeting Minutes: |

| Newsletters have been and will continue to be published periodically to inform the community members and other interested parties about activities at the former Depot. The newsletters provide up-to-date information on upcoming activities, RAB meetings, pending investigations, results of completed investigations, and any necessary remediation activities.
